Will my Health Insurance cover treatments for my vein problems?
Most insurance companies will cover treatments for varicose veins. There are Medical Guidleines
established by each insurance company. We recommend scheduling a consultation to help determine if your problem veins meet the criteria for medical treatment. During the consultation we will review your medical history, understand your symptoms, and "listen" to your veins using Doppler. At this point, if it is determined that your problem veins could be considered for medical treatment, we will then schedule an appointment for an ultrasound to conclude our findings.
If my problem veins are not considered "medical" what is the cost of treating cosmetic veins?
Cosmetic veins can be treated using either laser treatments or sclreotherapy, Dr. Adelman will discuss with you the best option for your problem veins. The cost for treatment varies according to the number of problem areas you have. Prices are typically $200 per treatment with

How long will I be out of work?
You can return to normal activity immediately with little or no pain. Avoid strenuous excersise such as heavy lifting, aerobics, weight training, bicycling or running for 2 weeks. Walking daily is encouraged and promotes speedy healing.
What should I expect from the local anesthesia used during the EVLT and AP procedures?
Local anesthesia is applied to the leg being treated to make you comfortable during the procedure. You will be able to walk around immediately after the procedure. We recommend having someone pick you up after your procedure merely as a precaution. The local anesthesia may last for
